Palm Square
Palm Square is a 8 acre masterplan for an inner city site in Kuching. Sitting next to a primary school and surrounded by low rise residential and old government buidlings built in the 70s and 80s, it is envisioned that the masterplan will serve as a catalyst for urban renewal for upper Palm Road.

Sensitive Density
Comprising a series of mini blocks, the masterplan mirrors the pattern of villages which are still found on the outskirts of Kuching. Informal and intimate, the decentralized bulk and distribution of built form connects in scale to the existing low rise neighbourhood character. The ground plane is open, and its edges porous, drawing in the street and allowing the interface and engagement from all sides.
