The Bedrock has been designed as a concentrated piece of the city, a village reflecting the ad-hoc, messily vibrant, richly colourful city of Kota Kinabalu. 5 small buildings or ‘rumahs’ sampled from the streets and neighbourhoods, aggregate within a six acre plot, each with its own character and identity, sitting on a borderless, porous public realm that connects the city with the water.
The Bedrock is home to city facing urban compact apartments, luxurious water facing homes, a Grade A office block, a 5 star hospitality offering, lifestyle shops as well as Aquaria, a 30,000 sqft city aquarium.
